List of Essential Documents

Passport

• A valid passport with at least 6 months of validity from the date of departure.
• 2 blank pages are required with the old passport if any.
• Handwritten, observed or passports exceeding 10 years of validity are unacceptable.
• Photocopies of the first and last passport pages.

Financial Information

Financial Documents

• Details of last 3 years’ personal Income Tax Returns.
• Last 6 months personal bank statements are required along with the sign and seal showing sufficient cash flow/balance.

Additional Requirements

• In-person centre visit for biometrics and document submission.
• All documents should be in English or must have an official translation.
• Additional documents may be asked by the High Commission.

Occupational Details

Employed

• A valid appointment letter.
• Last 6 months’ salary slips.
• Leave sanction letter and no objection certificate from employer.
• The letter must include the name, designation, signature and contact details of the authorized signatory.

Self-Employed

• A cover letter with business letterhead.
• A valid business registration certificate (Incorporation, Partnership, MoU or GST Certificate).
• A valid proprietorship proof.

Retired

• A valid proof of retirement.
• Pension slips for the last 3 months.

Student

• A valid copy of a bona fide certificate from a reputed educational institution.
• Student ID card copy.

Conditional Requirements

Marriage Certificate

• Required when the spouse’s name is not mentioned on the passport.

Staying with Friends or Family

• A valid copy of your passport and visa is required.
