List of Essential Documents

Passport

• The passport must have a minimum validity of 6 months from the departure date of Thailand.
• The passport must consist of at least 2 blank pages.
• Handwritten passports and passports exceeding 10 years of duration are unacceptable.

Photograph

• The photographs clicked within the last 3 months are valid.
• The photos must be clicked against a plain white background for clarity.
• The photos should be clicked in the specified size of 35 mm × 45 mm.

Travel Details

Flight Tickets

• It’s mandatory to carry a copy of confirmed arrival and departure flight tickets.

Hotel Reservations

• The tourist must carry a copy of the confirmed hotel reservation depicting the essential details, including hotel address, contact number, applicant’s name and reservation dates.

Financial Information

Bank Statement

• Tourists are required to share their bank statement or the sponsor’s statement if they’re sponsored by the spouse or blood relatives.
• The sponsor’s statement must include 6-month bank statements, bank signature and seal showing sufficient balance around INR 60,000 (per applicant) with a proper cash flow.

Conditional Requirements

Rental Agreement

• This applies if the passport is issued in a different jurisdiction from where the visa application is being submitted. The relevant jurisdictions are:
• Mumbai jurisdiction: Gujarat, Goa, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra
• Chennai jurisdiction: Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Kerala
• Kolkata jurisdiction: Bihar, Odisha, West Bengal, Jharkhand, Chattisgarh, Andaman & Nicobar
• Delhi jurisdiction: Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Punjab, Rajasthan, Sikkim, Tripura, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand

Marriage Certificate

• Applies when the spouse's name is not listed on the passport and one spouse is sponsoring the other.

If Staying with Friends & Family

• Lease Agreement
• Tabian Baan
• Proof of accommodation
• Invitation letter with an ID/Passport copy
• Work permit with a minimum validity of 6 months (if the relatives or friends are not Thai).

Mandatory Requirements

Special Requirements

• All the documents should be in English language.
• Official translation is required if the documents are written in other languages.
• The Embassy or Consulate may ask for additional details and documents or a personal interview during the procedure.
